A set of safety harnesses with a YT-74235 shock absorber are elements of a system designed to protect people against falling from a height. Properly fitted harness must fit tightly to the torso and thighs so that, together with the dedicated attachment point, they can evenly distribute the forces acting on the body during a fall. The shock absorber, thanks to a properly sewn polyester tape, tears gradually while stopping the fall, thus slowing down the fall speed. The shock absorber connects the harness with the anchorage point.

All components of the YT-74235 safety harness set have been tested in an EU-accredited laboratory and meet the requirements of EN 361: 2002 and EN 355: 2002. The harness and shock absorber are also available as separate products under the YT-74221 and YT-74236 indexes.
SECURITY AND LEGAL ASPECTS
Work at height is work performed above 1 meter above the ground / floor, the surface of which is not surrounded on all sides by solid walls or a protective structure up to a height of 1.5 meters. If in such conditions it is not possible to apply collective protection measures, the employer, when commissioning work, should, inter alia, provide personal protective equipment. Each piece of fall protection equipment should meet certain safety standards that the manufacturer only confirms through an EU-accredited testing laboratory. Confirmation of compliance with the standards primarily guarantees the user's safety, but also protects both the employee and the employer against financial consequences resulting from penalties imposed by the labor inspection institution.

THE TERM OF VALIDITY
The service life of the harness and shock absorber is five years, counted from the first use.
